As always, we start with Peanut; she turned 6 months old on November 2nd - a milestone when raising an infant. She's approaching a time where big changes are about to happen. A pretty big event happened last week - Peanut learned to roll over on her own! She's able to roll from her tummy to her back consistently (see video below), although she hasn't rolled from her back to her tummy yet - she can make it on to her side no problem and even likes sleeping that way. She had her 6 month doctor appointment yesterday. She is now 15 pounds 7 ounces and is 24 1/2 inches long. She got another series of shots and is in perfect health. The doctor said she can start stage 2 foods anytime. For the last month she has been eating bananas, prunes, pears, carrots, squash, grean beans, peas and of course lots of rice cereal. She loves the bananas and isn't crazy about the green beans but she eats them just fine. We went grocery shopping today and stocked up on some stage 2 foods. It's amazing what kinds of food they have in those tiny jars now; macaroni & cheese, beef & gravy, chicken & gravy, banana & orange medley, vanilla custard pudding... peanut is eating better than us!
In the next few weeks & months she'll start teething, learning to crawl, sitting up on her own and putting sounds together as she learns to talk.
Addison also celebrated her first Halloween last week. She dressed up as a strawberry (the costume was borrowed from a friend of Michele's) and went to a couple parties. She won "cutest costume" at one party and got to take home a ceramic pumpkin full of candy that mommy & daddy enjoyed on her behalf.
A couple of weeks ago Michele's parents were kind enough to watch Addison for a few hours so Michele & Jimmy could have a "date night". We went to the gun range and shot jimmy's 9mm, saw the movie Michael Clayton (sucked) and then to a fancy dinner at Chili's... we've obviously been in the south too long.
