five for fighting

Jimmy finally got around to posting more videos. You can find them from the video link to the right. There about 6 new videos online for you to check out when you get a chance, the new ones are first from the top.

Addison is changing all the time. She has been 'cooing' for a couple months but now she is very aware she has a voice and uses it often. What was a 2-3 second 'sound' 2-3 times a day is now a 5-10 second more deliberate sound 10-20 times a day. Along with the 8-9 hours a day of screaming, crying and dogs barking, Michele and Jimmy have learned to find the peace and quiet of sitting in traffic to and from work is a welcomed change.

Jimmy has been trying to teach Peanut to say "da-da" and swears she said it 3 times last night. It sounded more like "ah-oh" but it's a start. He taught Haley how to talk, hopefully Addison will be able to do it without the bribe of a treat.

There have been two failed attempts to feed Addison more solid food. She does not like it at all and is not shy about letting us know it. We'll give it a few more weeks.

Addison just finished her first week sleeping in her own room. The first couple nights resulted with Michele waking up in the middle of the night and going into Addison's room to sleep in the extra bed next to her. Michele says it was by "accident" she fell asleep in there. She also "accidentally" made the bed with new sheets, blankets and pillows in the process.

Last Saturday was the first Thrashers (NHL hockey) home game and jimmy got tickets from his work so Addison got to see her first game. She definitely likes it better than baseball and enjoys the cold just like her dad. She was very interested in the action and stayed focused on the players going up and down the ice. The stimulation got the best of her and she crashed at the beginning of the 3rd period.
