Peanut & Crackerjacks

Has it been over a month since the last post? It doesn't seem so long ago but here's what's been happening. Most importantly, Addison had her four month check-up yesterday and as the doctor put it "she's doing great". She weighs 14 pounds-2 ounces and is 24 1/4 inches long. The visit ended with her second series of shots (4 total) and was as pleasant as you think it is. The doctor had some new instructions now that Peanut is getting older. First, the doctor says Addison should move out of our bedroom and into her own room. Second, Addison should not be fed in the middle of the night when she cries. She should be sleeping 10-12 hours straight at night and has been only sleeping 6 because she knows mommy and daddy are right next to her and if she cries, she will get attention and food. The doctor said if she isn't given attention or food she will sleep longer... so will mommy & daddy. Last night, Addison screamed from 3:45am-5:30am and did not get food or attention. She did end up sleeping about 9 hours total. Finally, the doctor thinks Addison should start adding one meal a day of solid food. We're looking forward to experiencing all the new things that come along with a growing baby. For example, Peanut laughed for the first time today. She has been smiling for a while and a little sound comes out on occasion like a giggle or chuckle but today she was cracking up.

Last Saturday, Peanut went to her first Braves game and then went swimming.

Michele has been back to work for a few weeks. She transferred to a new school working for her previous vice principal who has moved to another school as the principal. Michele is still getting adjusted to her new job and coworkers, the commute is better and it allows her to work part time so she can be home with Addison.

There isn't much on the horizon. A few more home improvement projects to work on before winter comes and spending time with Peanut are the only things on the 'to do' list. Hockey season in right around the corner and we're looking forward to taking Peanut to some games. She even has her own little Thrashers & Bruins outfits to wear.

Jimmy is going to try to edit some new videos this weekend so come back and look for those early next week on the video page. There are new pictures in the online album of Peanut and there are a few wedding pictures (more added soon) also.
