March started off appropriately with up to 5 inches of snow in some areas of the Metro. I was working Sunday so I didn't get to go out and enjoy it. We got about 3 inches at work, but at home, it melted as soon as it hit the ground. Both kids have been sick (colds) since the weekend so they didn't get out and enjoy it either. Funny thing is, it's supposed to be in the upper 70's this weekend.
snowing at my workSullivan went for a checkup last week. He weighed in at 20 lbs, 1 oz and 27 1/2 inches - getting big. By comparison, Addison is 27 lbs, 5 oz - 34 1/2 inches tall and 22 months old... he will be 8 months next week - and they are wearing the same size diapers.
Addison is so awesome. She is talking so much, you can just about have back-and-forth conversations with her. She loves coloring, writing, drawing and painting. She has a favorite Magna Doodle-type thing that she is always carrying around. She also knows how to count to three - not just say "1, 2, 3" but she can correctly identify items in amounts of 1, 2 and 3. She knows just about every jungle, sea and farm animal, can tell you what they are and what sound they make... it's very impressive, to me anyway.
Sullivan is sitting up on his own and starting to roll over. He needs more work with the rolling before he can move into his own room but he should be there in a couple more weeks. He still cries way more often and way more loudly than any baby ever has, but it is getting better.
We had a great time last week at Snow Mountain. It doesn't snow much here in Georgia so they have to make it. They make enough to cover 3 football fields on a hillside, a kids sledding area and another area for kids to build snowmen and just play. The weather was perfect and the kids weren't completely horrible. Pictures below, lots more HERE.

We've been trying to decide for months where to go with our free plane tickets - and finally came up with a plan. We were going to fly out to the southwest, rent an RV and just drive around for a week. When I went to book the tickets, there were no seats on any flight anywhere even close to where we wanted to go. It turns out there are like two seats per day on one flight to a select few cities... and they are always booked. We could have used them to get to Las Vegas, but it would have taken 14 hours and had three lay-overs... no way. So, we decided we would try to use them this summer to go to Chicago. Michele is from there and has family and friends she hasn't seen a in a long time and they haven't met the kids. We're also talking about going to Boston too, I'm not sure if it's going to happen, but if we find a deal we may take it. It looks like we just decided (yesterday) to go somewhere for Spring Break. We are going to take the kids to Florida. My Dad and Grandpa live there and they haven't met the kids so we're going to see them, spend a day at the beach and maybe check out Busch Gardens or a zoo.
I mentioned earlier that the kids are sick. They woke up Saturday morning with really bad colds. I worked all weekend so Michele took care of them all alone. She has also missed 2 days of work and has stayed up all night (the last 3 nights!) because they aren't sleeping. They are both a little better today but Michele is pretty worn out.
That's about it from here. We don't have a whole lot going on this month, we're just enjoying the kids and taking it one day at a time.
