flying, fawns & famous

On the Peanut front - Addison is doing great. She sleeps almost through the night and still smiles a lot. For the last few nights, Addison has been turning herself sideways in her sleep-positioner (see picture below). There must be something she knows that we don't about sleeping with your head nestled in netting... who knows.

Peanut had her two month check-up with the doctor Thursday. She now weighs 12lbs-13oz and is 23 1/4 inches long. She also got her first set of shots; 4 of them in her huge schinckebeindlis (thighs) followed by the obligatory heart wrenching scream.

Addison's birth announcement appeared this month in a local magazine called The Townelaker.

Jimmy is taking some much-needed vacation time at the end of the month. Part of the time will be spent tackling home improvement projects, relaxing and traveling. The family will be taking a trip to Boston for a few days so Addison and Michele can meet Jimmy's grandmother. A few days after we get back, Michele and Addison will fly to Chicago to visit Michele's family & friends.

So, we took an infant to the movies and now on to a plane... we're definately those people.

Last week, July 7th to be exact, Jimmy turned 35! To celebrate; Jimmy wanted to visit the Yellow River Ranch (it's like a small zoo but you can feed & interact with the animals); go to the Transformers movie & see actor/comedian Joe Rogan (from Newsradio & Fear Factor) perform at a comedy club. He had his requested birthday dinner of "noodles & meat lumps" prepared by Michele's mom and the traditional Carvel ice cream cake for desert.

Michele painted Peanut's bathroom a Smurf-tastic blue - also with newly installed IKEA fixtures. More projects around the house have been finished. The kitchen is a new tan-ish color and the master bathroom has been transformed. The wallpaper is down and the walls have been painted Cheyenne Rock. There are also new silver fixtures (to replace the hideous gold ones in there now) with the faucets and shower trim left to go. Yesterday we had Basement Saturday-Part I. We're going through everything downstairs to see what we can get rid of. Part II will be next Saturday and hopefully we'll have enough space made for Jimmy to build his Fortress of Solitude.

Michele will be heading back to work in about 3 weeks so she is trying to spend as much time as possible with Addison, David Caruso, Emily Procter, Adam Rodriguez, Khandi Alexander, Rex Linn, Jonathan Togo, Boti Bliss, Steven Zirnkilton, S. Epatha Merkerson, Sam Waterston, Jerry Orbach, Steven Hill, Jesse L. Martin, William Peterson, Marg Helgenberger, Jorga Fox, Gary Dourdan, George Eads, Christopher Meloni, Mariska Hartigay, Richard Blezer, Ice-T & Dann Florek, Chris Noth, Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, Jamey Sheridan & Julianne Nicholson. Also, Jimmy... when possible.
